CK-12 High School Summer Science Intern

CK-12 Foundation is recruiting stellar summer interns to work science content creation and quality assurance. This opportunity is a paid internship.

As part of the Science Interactive Think Tank, you will review CK-12 science content, particularly interactives, and brainstorm innovative ways to improve engagement and enhance learning. You will apply your creative thinking skills and passion for learning to provide articulate and actionable feedback and share it directly with CK-12’s team!

Task May Include:

  • Provide feedback and suggest revisions on current content (reads, videos, interactives, assessment questions)
  • Perform quality assurance on external resources and CK-12 content
  • Write solutions for question banks
  • Create study guides and write real-world examples
  • Propose new interactives or research new videos
  • Participate user testing

Skills

  • Excited about science!
  • Strong research and writing skills 
  • Creative and inquisitive thinker with a passion for learning
  • Detail-oriented, strong work ethic, and self-starter
  • Responsible and able to work with minimal supervision both individually and collaboratively 
  • Software experience is a plus, e.g. Google Apps, HTML5, Photoshop, Illustrator

Requirements

  • Graduating senior or rising senior.
  • Coursework in chemistry, biology, physics, and/or environmental science
  • Able to commit to 8-10 weeks (6-9 hours a week), with the potential for increased hours
  • NOTE: This is a remote position due to COVID safety measures
